TimWhere have all the models gone?

Instagram has rapidly outpaced the concept of being a model. The candid nature makes fans/stalkers to feel a closer connection by seeing something very personal, letting strangers an uncomfortable level of access.

Being a catalyst for self-attention versus being the inspiration or medium for an artist to use are two very different things. One should not be sacrificed for the other. It is unhealthy to spend your time trying to seek the approval of others by creating a fake persona or forgoing privacy and security.
