Is it test shoot or testshoot?
Well, it is both, since there is no word in the Oxford English Dictionary for this action, and it is a form of neologism or industry jargon, so in a way they are both correct. In theory, it should be two words "test shoot" because a) it is a test, and b) it is a shoot. Usually things remain as two words when one is an adjective and another a noun, but heck, Americans play fast and loose with the laws of the English language making things up as we go along.
